  • A wonderfully persevered low-mileage example, with just 25,763 miles on the odometer

  • Well documented history from new, with just three owners, the first retaining the car until 2005
  • Offered in its original colour combination of Rosso Dino over a Nero interior
  • Equipped with its matching-numbers engine and gearbox
  • Accompanied by its Ferrari folio and manuals, jack, spare wheel, tool kit, and a history file including invoices, previous MoT certificates, a Marcel Massini report, and order data from historian Tony Willis

Ordered by Dick Lovett Ferrari of Swindon in April 1973, the English dealership specified chassis 06752 with Rosso Dino paintwork over a Nero interior, with extras including electric windows and the all-important Daytona-style seats. Of the 235 Dino 246 GTSs sold new in the U.K., chassis 06752 was a rare beast, being just one of eight to have Daytona style seats.

A Ferrari fattura was issued on 12 July 1973 and the car was sent to Maranello Concessionaires in Egham, Surrey. Dick Lovett was invoiced on 17 July for the sum of £5,612, receiving the car later that month.

Remaining in the Swindon dealership for a few months, likely as a demonstrator, this Dino was registered and sold to the first owner, Mr N. G. Parham in Kent, on 23 October 1973. It received the registration plate “OHR 606M”, which the car still wears today. Dick Lovett carried out “A” and “B” services on 20 November 1973, when the odometer read 1,335 miles. Mr Parham used the car throughout the 1970s and by 1987 an MoT certificate showed the mileage at 22,680.

From 1993, Mr Parnham started to use Kent High Performance Cars Ltd to service and maintain the Dino, with records showing that by 2005, the car had covered 23,329 miles. That same year, Mr Parham finally parted ways with his 246 GTS, selling to Mr M. Uren, who continued to have the same Ferrari specialist service the car. After 18 years, he sold the car to the consigning owner in April 2023.

Today, this 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS presents wonderfully in its original colour combination of Rosso Dino over a Nero interior. Upon inspection, the car has been found to retain its matching-numbers engine and gearbox, and both boot hinges are correctly numbered “2203”. The odometer reads 25,763 miles at the time of cataloguing and is believed to be accurate, given the detailed service history on file and limited amount of owners from new. The Ferrari is accompanied by all the relevant extras including the rare Dino-embossed leather folio containing the Ferrari manuals and books.

As a low mileage example and just one of eight right-hand-drive cars equipped with Daytona-style seats, this Ferrari Dino 246 GTS is no ordinary offering. For those seeking to buy a Dino with outstanding provenance and history, chassis 06752 is surely one for consideration.
