As can be seen from the car's second registration document, this HK 500 was registered new on 26 September 1960 in Aude. It then passed into the hands of a mechanic in Isère on 13 December 1962 before being sold in Alsace on 15 September 1980. On 21 March 1983 it was imported into Switzerland by a lawyer. It then had three more owners before being bought by Claude Frésard in November 2000. It was from a collector in Essonne that Alain Ragault acquired it in 2003. Gunmetal grey in color, it is equipped with a narrow body repainted in 2015 which was to equip an earlier model. The grey leather interior with matching carpets is partially restored and weathered. It has a manually operated sunroof. The engine is the TY7 conforming to the model, while the gearbox is a manual ZF, replaced as a standard exchange in 2006. Opening the trunk reveals a set of three tailor-made suitcases, very practical when knowing that the fuel filler neck is located precisely in the trunk! An exhaustive list of the work carried out since the car entered the collection is available, including the replacement of the bevel gear, the clutch, the shock absorbers and the tyres. With its elegant color combination, Borrani wire wheels and sunroof, this powerful coupé is a great way to travel around.
