Description

This Dodge Charger dates to 1968 and was originally fitted with the 383ci High Performance V8. It was subsequently restored in Holland by PTTM and rebuilt in RT-style as a pro-touring special, costing in excess of 175,000 euros. The specification is impressive, Chrysler 440 big-block, stroked to 500ci (8.3-litres) with Edelbrock heads, hydraulic cam, forged pistons, fully balanced, TTI headers and stainless steel exhaust – producing 565bhp. Driveline Chrysler 727 transmission, 6-speed auto, LSD, 4-link suspension, adjustable shocks, 4-wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion power steering. The interior was completely retrimmed with a modern instrument panel with air conditioning and full loom replacement

The car was purchased by our vendor in March 2018 from Pedal to the Metal in Holland for 125,000 euro and in October 2018 there is an invoice for rebuilding the brakes and work to the front suspension for c.£5,000. The car was subsequently stripped to the bare metal and resprayed, costing £18,500. In March 2019, there are details of further expenditure including repainting the back panel, wrapping the exhaust, heat shields and sub-frame welding etc. In May 2019, Full Range Services in Kent rewired the car for £3,842.

On file there is a Laagland and Taxaties report and a write up of the build which is most impressive. Interested parties need to read the accompanying paperwork to appreciate the level of quality and spend on this 'extraordinary and terrifyingly quick' Dodge. A superb muscle car, with amazing attention to detail.
