Description

Starting price 10,000.00 JPY.

Daihatsu Fellow was launched in 1966 and was the company's first light-duty vehicle.
Daihatsu, which had already established a firm position in the light commercial vehicle field with the Midget and Hijet, was confident enough to introduce the model to the market. The styling was a prism-cut 3-box style with independent rear trunk space. The engine is a 2-stroke, 2-cylinder engine refined from the one used in the Hijet, it’s rear-wheel drive, typical of Daihatsus of the time.
The Fellow became popular for its ease of driving, spacious interior, reliability, and comfortable ride provided by the 4-wheel independent suspension.

This car is a Fellow SS Super Deluxe model, which was developed to regain the hearts of Daihatsu fans lost due to the rising popularity of the Honda N360.

The engine is a twin carburetor and a higher compression ratio, producing 32hp, an increase of 9hp. This enabled the car to accelerate from 0-400 m in 21.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 115 km/h, making it the fastest light car at the time, surpassing the Honda N360.

The Super Deluxe model had a column shift transmission and reclining seats. The original exterior color was white, but it has been repainted to blue.

There is some light rust in the engine compartment, but considering the age of the car, it has been kept in condition. Only the doors have been reupholstered.

The odometer reads 54,149km, and the engine and transmission are both in good shape, so the car can be enjoyed without any special modifications.
