The Charade De Tomaso was introduced as a high-performance sports model of the Daihatsu Charade. Despite being a compact car, Daihatsu collaborated with the Italian sports car brand De Tomaso to form an unlikely partnership which resulted in a popular car. It’s a powerful front-wheel drive car making it an attractive hot-hatch.
The 1.6-litre straight-4 engine was designed specifically for this car and produces 125 horsepower. Air ducts were added to the bonnet and the front bumper was changed to a sporty design. The interior combines black and red finishes with exclusive bucket seats. The steering wheel is made by Nardi, giving the car a special driving feel that is very different from the standard Charade.
