Used to belong to the famous RTA
The Citroën Type H was marketed for more than thirty years during which it served France, from street vendors to large companies, from farmers to law enforcement. At the engine level, the first H's were equipped with the 11HP derived from traction with cast iron cylinder head and overhead valves. This was replaced in 1963 by a 9HP with aluminium cylinder head (hemispherical combustion chamber; V-valves) then completed with an 11HP also with aluminium cylinder head, the latter being the most powerful engine that will equip the H: 58HP (52 DIN HP) There are also Perkins and Indenor diesel engines.
The Type H presented in these pages has the particularity of having belonged to the famous Automotive Technical Review (RTA). It was bought by the father of the current owner in the early 1980s and then began to restore the mechanics, which he dismantled. It comes to us in a beautiful original juice, with its period advertising still painted on the side. The engine is dismantled and is present in the cab. This is an excellent restoration base presented here, which must be left in its original configuration.
