As Chrysler emerged from WWII, like many automakers, it revised and upgraded prewar models for the 1946 model year. Chrysler’s six-cylinder Windsor model was available in sedan, convertible, club coupe, and business coupe configurations. It sat above the entry-level Royal and below the eight-cylinder New Yorker in the model range. A volume seller for the brand, the Windsor made up roughly 63% of sales from 1946 to 1948.

Of the various body styles available from Chrysler at the time, the Three-Passenger Business Coupe was easily the most intriguing. Built with an eye towards style instead of practicality, the model featured just a single row of seating. The small passenger compartment allowed for one of the more memorable and attractive rooflines of any 1940s production automobile, and the Business Coupe strikes a much more fashion-forward pose than any other model in Chrysler’s range.

This lovely Windsor Three-Passenger Business Coupe was owned and restored by noted expert Jim Barbee before being purchased by his friend and client Blake Nordstrom. The restoration work was done to a very high standard, and its dark green paint is perfectly offset by the contrasting olive green upholstery. Since restoration, it has been incredibly well kept and attention to detail is evident in the overall presentation. This charming Chrysler is suitable for a multitude of events as part of the very active Chrysler club, and will undoubtedly bring a lot of enjoyment to its next owner.
