Nineteen fifty-nine Cadillacs are extraordinary cars. They represent the most outrageous example of ’50s styling, with sweeping fins that even Chrysler couldn’t top. The design looked best on convertibles, and a record 11,130 Series 62 convertibles were sold in 1959. Under the hood, the new 390 cubic inch V-8 proved reasonably efficient and quite durable. All Cadillac 62s came with power steering and brakes, with the convertibles having power seats, power windows and a power top.

Like most extreme designs, people loved or loathed them, and the survival rate was low until they became icons of a past era. As such, they are increasingly rare in today’s market and highly sought after. The 1959 Cadillac is the epitome of radical 1950s American styling.

This Cadillac is presented in red with a white power convertible top and a red and white two-tone interior. This is a nicely equipped car that has air conditioning, power windows, power steering, power brakes, radio with rear speaker, wire wheels, fender skirts and whitewall tires. The Cadillac is clean and tidy in presentation and represents this fabulous platform in a fine manner.
