Description

The third series of 603, introduced in 1982 and continuing until 1994, saw Bristol adopt for the first time the names of the famous Bristol Aeroplane Company models for its cars. There were a number of minor changes to the appearance of both models during their 12-year production run, especially at the front.
This 1986 Bristol Britannia is presented in the classic colour scheme of light Silver with a sumptuous blue leather interior and offers a truly commanding driving position, with all the controls and switch gear falling easily to hand, making this a true drivers car, but at the same time you are surrounded by leather and wood creating a cosy, warm cabin in which to cross continents in comfort and at speed. The powerful engine, smooth gearbox and ease of maintenance make for a very usable classic daily driver, small and subtle modifications have been implemented to ensure this car is user friendly such as the twin charging points and ignition cut-off switch. However the majority of the maintenance has been focused on the running and mechanical aspects of the vehicle which is detailed by Bristol cars and SLJ Ltd among others dating back to 2000. The term gentleman's express was coined by the Bristol motor Car company.
