Description
"DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THIS LOT HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE AUCTION
BRA Ltd was formed in 1981 by John Berry and Peter Ibbotson for the purpose of designing, developing and manufacturing a limited number of high-quality reproduction sports car kits styled on famous models of the past but incorporating modern mechanics and safety features. All kits featured professionally engineered jig built, MIG welded steel tube chassis, which do not rely on bodywork for strength. The bodies are very high-quality GRP and the P-Type featured an MGB 1800cc engine and running gear.
This example was registered new in 1964 and is believed to have been converted to BRA P-Type specification in 1984. The P-Type was acquired by the current vendor 17 years ago and has been used sparingly throughout his ownership, using it on high days and holidays. Having seen little use in recent years, the P-Type would benefit from light recommissioning but can be enjoyed as is and it runs and drives as you would expect. Accompanying the car are copies of the original BRA brochure, MoT online records and the current UK V5 registration document. Offered without reserve this is a very good opportunity to acquire a rather rare BRA P-Type.
