About this Collectable
The M3 from these years is absolutely unique, because this was and is the only M3 generation that was equipped with a wonderful V8. At startup the atmospheric V8 barks at you, after warming up The Great Joy can commence. The eight-cylinder runs al the way up to 8,400 rpm.

We will try not to get nostalgic, but they don't make them that way anymore. Pure motorsport genes and a stroke volume that was still allowed to grow at the time. Eight cylinders, four liters in size, 420 hp and 400 Nm of torque. And the V8 was even lighter than its six-in-line it predecessor by a not inconsiderable 15 kilograms.

If you've ever driven a convertible, you also know that the sound becomes even better with the roof down. Spring is coming and with this M3 you want to go to the beach, mountain pass or coastal road. All on one day, preferably!

With the metal folding roof, the designers have succeeded in giving the convertible the lines of the coupé. As soon as the sun comes out, this car also gets a big advantage, the silent and multi-lined roof is beautifully folded into the trunk within a few seconds and the drop-top fun can begin!

This car is absolutely unique with a number of special options from the BMW Individual's personalization department. The exterior color is BMW Individual Azuritschwarz Metallic. This Individual color has blue metallic particles instead of the normal silver metallic particles. So a beautiful blue glow appears in the sun.

The interior is finished in Novillo Bambus Beige, which is the exact version in which BMW presented the M3 Convertible in the folder. And yes the brochures (and much more documentation) come with the car.

What completes this M3 is the Bowers & Wilkins audio system. With the car in comfort mode and the exhaust valves closed, your favorite playlist has never sounded better.

This Collectable is from 2012, which means that it is an LCI, or the facelift version. It goes too far to list all the improvements, but we do a selection: new navigation, hard disk recorder to convert CDs to MP3, improved connectivity with bluetooth, speech recognition, completely modified controller with menu keys, new LED rear lights and countless other improvements.

This M3 Cabriolet is equipped with a M-DCT box (Double Clutch Transmission). Given the extensive options list and BMW Individual version, it is probably the most expensive E93 M3 ever delivered new in the Netherlands. In any case, the most expensive that BMW Renova had delivered. The car is equipped with Professional Navigation System, Comfort Access, Park Distance Control, Adaptive Cornering Light and High Beam Assist.

This M3 was originally delivered in the Netherlands and has had two owners. The maintenance has always taken place at BMW dealers and specialists and the complete maintenance history with invoices is available. Both the current and the previous owners are true BMW enthusiasts who have kept the car in mint condition to this day.

Our opinion
A naturally aspirated V8 in a convertible: let the spring begin. I have been a fan of this S65 V8 engine from the launch: lots of torque at the bottom and then the magnificent sound when you chase it towards the red zone. Goosebumps guaranteed, but that can be easily solved with the seat heating.

The dual character remains special. Put on a Jambers voice (ed: well-known Flemish presenter); 'during the day, a comfortable four-seater convertible with sufficient power. But at night with the push of the M button he turns into a barking Monster that you can scare your passengers with ... '.

Modifications
None, this car is completely original. However, an SCM5 Faringwell vehicle tracking system and a Moving Intelligence SCM 5 beacon have been installed, both with a paid and active Dutch subscription.

Remarks
The car is as good as new. There is only some minimal stone chips on the front bumper / hood.

About the seller
The owner is a BMW collector. He learned to drive in a BMW and his first car was a BMW 1602. Later he bought a 3.0 CSL, which he had seen Toine Hezemans and Hans-Joachim Stuck drive as a child. He restored the car himself. Its current fleet consists of a Z8, a G12 7-series Individual, an E31 850i and a MINI John Cooper Works. Until last month he also had the restored 3.0 CSL in his garage and an E46 M3 CSL.

Before he bought this BMW E93 M3 in Azuritschwarz, he already had another E93 M3, a gray one. As a proud owner, he started collecting all kinds of brochures and magazines. Thus he also obtained the official brochure that BMW distributed internally at dealers. On the front was a copy in Azuritschwarz with a Bambus Beige interior. When he saw that car, he knew: I must have it. And so he did. A Dutch example from the first owner. So he immediately traded in his gray M3. If you have found your dream M3 after two years of searching, why do you sell it after 4 years? The answer is short. A Z8.

"I had a nice Dutch Z8 and after many requests I sold it to another enthusiast, but missed the car and we all know that feeling. And so there is now another Z8 in the heated garage."
