Description
Chassis No. WBSKG9108BE686326
The E92 BMW M3 GTS was conceived as the most uncompromising iteration of the revered E92 series, stripped of excess and optimized purely for track performance. Limited to just 150 units, the GTS represents one of the most focused and exclusive M cars ever produced. BMW M GmbH chief Kay Segler affectionately revealed that the car's internal code name was "Jägermeister," a playful nod to the famous German digestif with its own storied motorsport sponsorship history-and perhaps a hint at the intoxicating performance this special M3 would deliver.
The transformation from standard M3 to GTS began with a comprehensive weight-reduction program that included polycarbonate rear windows, removed rear seats, lightweight door trim, and the deletion of sound insulation and audio system-resulting in just over 220 kilograms in weight savings. Paired with an enlarged 4.4-liter V8 (up from the standard 4.0) producing 450 horsepower and 440 nm of torque, the GTS boasted a power-to-weight ratio of just 3.4-kilograms per horsepower. Performance was suitably impressive, with the swift seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission enabling the GTS to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in a remarkable 4.4 seconds, with an unhindered top speed of 305 km/h. The chassis featured adjustable suspension components, high-performance brakes with six-piston front calipers, and variable aerodynamics including an adjustable rear wing-all making it a track-ready machine straight from the factory.
The example offered here is truly exceptional-number 126 of 150 produced and an essentially new 2011 BMW M3 GTS showing just 40 kilometers from new at the time of cataloging. Presented in immaculate condition throughout, this car represents a museum-quality specimen that has been carefully preserved since delivery. The signature Fire Orange paintwork remains flawless, complemented perfectly by the factory matte black 19-inch M light-alloy wheels and carbon fiber aerodynamic elements. The interior is equally pristine, with its carbon fiber trim pieces, Alcantara-covered M steering wheel, and Recaro bucket seats showing virtually no signs of use.
Originally delivered through De Maassche BMW in Echt, Netherlands, this GTS comes complete with its original service book, owner's manuals, indoor car cover, first aid kit, and an additional unused pair of Schroth Racing harnesses still in their original packaging. Given the extreme rarity of the M3 GTS-already considered one of BMW M's most collectible modern classics-this time-capsule example represents an extremely rare opportunity to acquire what may be the finest, lowest-mileage example in existence today.
