As one of only 786 BMW M3 cabriolets from the E30 series built, this example, in Macao blue, equipped with a catalytic converter, electrically operated soft top, air conditioning and heated seats was first registered through the Adolf Werner GmbH in Hamburg on the 23rd of August 1990. Whether the car had been a demo or was just left unsold is not clear but in any case, it was registered for the first time only on the 31st July 1992. After two further owners in 1994 and 1996, the M3 was de-registered in October 2014 and re-registered by the vendor in September 2018. Over the last six years all necessary maintenance has been performed, followed by a continuous improvement of the car. This included an overhaul of the injection valves in 2019, the hydraulic steering system in 2020 together with a replacement of the water pump. In 2022 the soft top and the front dampers were replaced and in 2023 the gearbox was re-sealed and the rear silencer replaced. With now four previous owners and around 121’000 kilometres driven, the BMW is in very good overall condition and will be sold with its service booklet, numerous receipts, German historic registration and the actual German MOT (TüV) from August 2024. Swiss customs duty have so far not been paid.
