Description
Rare Alpina B12 6.0 Long is now available.
Each and every Alpina car is carefully crafted by hand by artisans. Needless to say, production numbers are limited, but this model was produced in particularly small numbers, with only around 20 units. As a successor to the highly acclaimed BMW E38 7 Series platform with a 5.7-litre engine, a model with a 6.0-litre V12 engine was presented at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. Its maximum output reached 430 bhp and maximum torque 600 nm at 4,200 rpm. Alpina tuning turned it into a saloon faster than the Ferrari F355, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and running 1 km in 23.5 seconds. The suspension is equipped with reinforced springs, EDC, Sachs level control and larger brakes. The exhaust note is refined, as is the Alpina tune, and once the accelerator is pressed, the car runs smoothly and pleasingly, as is the case with NA engines. The magic-carpet ride is something you won't experience unless you drive the 6.0 Long. Even waiting at traffic lights is a happy time, as you look forward to the start of the ride. It turns as you wish, so turning left or right is non-stop. The interior is luxuriously furnished with wood and offers a luxurious ambience. A V12 for family outings, a "Gentleman's saloon that knows the real thing" is the impression you get.
This B12 was officially imported in 2000. It has two owners in Japan and has been carefully maintained. It has been driven a distance, but minor problems have been eliminated because of this. Most of the maintenance history from the last 20 years is available . In addition, the car has a twin aspect with serial number #12, B12. It also comes with a sunroof. This B12 is a car that excels in all areas - design, driving performance and practicality - so why not start by reaching 200,000 km?
