An Alpina B10 3.2, quite a mouthful and for many a lot of unknowns.
What exactly is Alpina, and why is this car so unique?
"I'm a man of simple tastes. I'm always satisfied with the best." - Oscar Wilde - Alpina Slogan

The company that started with typewriters used that precision to start making carburettors for BMW models from the early 1970s.
It soon excelled and thrived in the European Touring Car Championship.
In 1988, the company stopped racing, but stayed busy modifying BMWs.
Recognised as a separate manufacturer in Germany because it made and supplied all its parts to BMW by hand.
A separate brand, it is an Alpina, not a BMW.

Who was Alpina's customer? Autobahn heroes who found the 'normal stuff' from Bavaria just getting a bit boring.
Completely upgraded technically and optically, and therefore also got its own chassis number and known as Alpina, not BMW.
Faster engine, unique features in the interior, super recognisable Alpina rims and low production numbers.

This particular car? A 3.2 block which is based on the 528 E39 block, in insane condition.
It comes from the first Dutch owner, and that with only 88,000 km on the odometer.
Unique, and for that price actually a fantastic classic!
Will we see you soon?
