The Bentley Turbo R was introduced at the 1985 Geneva salon with the “R” standing for the English term “roadholding”, thus indicating a chassis and suspension finally more adapted to high performance motoring not only in a straight line. The example offered was sold by P. Mazuchelli in Lugano on the 12th of June 1987 and was first registered on the 30th of the same month. In 1990 the noble saloon left sunny Ticino and arrived with a new owner in the Zurich region. In 1999 the car was sold again to the Lucerne area where it was acquired by its last owner towards the end of 2015. Being a collector and garage owner, he never formally registered the Turbo R and for most of the time it was parked in his collection with only 1’000 kilometres added in his ownership. The last few years the Bentley has not been driven at all and now a thorough recommissioning as well as replacement of the battery and the fuel pump should be envisaged. With 131’000 kilometres driven, the coachwork and interior present themselves in good and well-maintained original condition. The last MOT of the noble Brit was completed in May 2015.
