Background:

Introduced at the New York Motor Show in April 2006, the Bentley Continental GT Convertible (or GTC) added a soft top option to the already successful Continental GT Coupé. The new Continental had been introduced as a more affordable Bentley range, while still preserving the exclusivity, luxury and crucially the performance that the Crewe marque had traditionally espoused. The Coupé proved to be an immediate sales success and the reaction to the new convertible promised much the same reception from potential buyers.

The Convertible utilised the same smooth, powerful, twin-turbocharged 6-litre W12 engine, Torsen-based permanent four-wheel drive system, massive ABS-backed disc brakes and sophisticated all-round independent air suspension.

The Car:

This beautiful GTC was supplied by Bentley Leeds in 2006. Initially built in silver and then professionally repainted later in white, it carries a Portland over Beluga interior. Options were plentiful, including a power boot opener, TV tuner, reversing camera and park distance sensors, contrast stitching and a chrome fuel filler cap. Also specified was the all-important Mulliner Driving Pack, which is highly sought after on these models.

The car presents extremely well, with both the hood and the body in excellent condition. The service book has 12 stamps and included is a good file of service history.

It is offered here with two keys, its full book pack, a recent service carried out in March this year, HPI clear status and a long MOT valid until 2026 – which it passed with 'no advisories'.
