The Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998, a large luxury saloon car that replaced the previous Bentley Turbo saloon. Built by Bentley Motors in Crewe from 1998 to 2009, the Arnage and its Rolls-Royce sibling named the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998 and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. The Arnage Red Label was launched in October 1999 with the engine reverting to Bentley power using the traditional V8 engine and a displacement of 6750cc. Bentley quote the Arnage R as being an unrivalled example of the Grand Touring philosophy, making every journey a unique experience of power, luxury and control. A place where two very different worlds are perfectly united. Tradition and technology in absolute harmony.
This Bentley was originally registered on 19th September 2002 and is finished in the delightful colour combination of metallic blue with a cream leather interior. Significant sums have been spent on this Arnage R in the last three years, work carried out includes new suspension bushes, ball joints, ignition leads and servicing. In 2022 a large service was carried out and four new tyres were fitted. A good history file accompanies this Arnage R with maintenance and service records dating back to 2006. The fastidious vendor has reported to us that the engine management light is on and he has put it into a Bentley specialist for diagnoses. The report states that the heater tap is leaking and will require replacing, together with an assembly suction hose. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 20th February 2026. A Bentley Arnage is a fabulous car to drive, with ample power available, leather and walnut in abundance and presence commensurate with such a prestige marque. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
