“Mother Gun” was the first Bentley 4½ Litre model entered as Bentley team car at Le Mans in 1927. In 1928 the Team car finished 1st and in 1929 2nd. Rebodied for Brooklands in 1932 and 1934, upgraded to 6½ Litre in 1934 and rebuilt to single seater Brooklands Special by R. R. Jackson in 1936/37.
