Description
Introduced at the Birmingham Motor Show in 1988, the Virage was Aston Martin’s exclusive hand-built flagship model and the final evolution of the celebrated V-8 line. An open-top Volante variant was also introduced and only 234 Volantes were produced in total. Of those, only 18 were British Racing Green, left-hand-drive examples like the highly attractive one offered here. Furthermore, it is equipped with the highly desirable five-speed manual gearbox and narrow-body specification.
This Virage Volante is an outstanding example that was delivered new to Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, Connecticut and was one of only two British Racing Green cars imported into the US. It was acquired by the current owner, an Aston Martin collector and enthusiast, in 2019. He reports that it remains in highly original condition with original paint and interior, and has been sparingly used, with less than 16,000 miles when catalogued. It was recently serviced by Aston Martin of New England and the convertible top pump, starter motor, and throttle position sensors were replaced, according to service records on file. An exceedingly rare and beautiful Aston Martin in one of the most desirable specifications for the model, this 1993 Virage Volante is a low-mileage example of a stunning modern classic
