Headlining, A pillars, grab handles and sunvisors all trimmed exquisitely in Parchment Alcantara – headlining ribbed. Dark Blue herringbone seat belts, perforated leather door cards and a Burr Walnut steering wheel finish off the car. Benefitting from host of non-standard options which include heated, reclining and massaging seats, heated head lamps and front windscreen – for the icy winter morning. Traction control and ABS added for safety and tyre pressure monitors for added peace of mind. This example rolled off the Newport Pagnell production line on 31st July 1998 in V550 Vantage specification. Suppled new via Auto Performance Paris it ordered in left hand drive configuration. The Vantage was built to order of its first owner, Christen Sveaas, industrialist and world renowned art collector – original pre delivery inspection sheet and order form are both on file. Fast forward to 2006 the car was acquired by a UK collector who dispatched the Vantage to Aston Martin Works Service to prepare the car to V600 specification (Dynamic Pack). The works commenced on 16th May 2006, in addition to these works the Vantage was converted from left hand drive to right hand drive. All of these works were carried out by the men who had built the car originally. On file we have the complete invoices (17 pages) listing every item of work carried out. Since works were completed the car has covered just 7,921 miles. Complete works description and parts fitted by Aston Martin Works Service:- Removing engine from chassis to access steering column and bulkhead fittings. Removing interior trims, steering column, pedal assemblies, handbrake, steering rack and instruments etc. Installing steering column brackets, modifying heater motors and fitting pedal housing to bulkhead. Installing brake servo / master cylinder and pedal assemblies for right hand drive. Making up and installing new vacuum hoses to suit air conditioning controls and fuel system carbon canisters. Fabricating and installing new brake pipes as necessary. Installing new and re-working wiring harnesses as necessary. Cleaning engine intercooler tanks and air pipes. Re-fitting to engine with new seals and clamps as required. Re-fitting engine and transmission assemblies. Re-fitting starter motor wiring, throttle cables / linkages, exhaust manifolds etc. Installing right hand drive steering rack and connecting to steering column.Trimming dash facia, console, dash top, undertrays, handbrake etc. Removing mirror switch from left door to right door and re-trimming as necessary. Installing interior facia, instruments including new MPH speedometer, dash, console, glove box etc. Modifying wiper mechanism / linkage to allow sweep for right hand drive. Replacing and aligning headlamps to dip left. Making up and renewing interior carpeting as necessary, Carrying out Driving Dynamics V600 Enhancements. Carrying out modifications to engine inter-cooler system, modifying throttle operation on potentiometer and re-setting engine set up for optimum performance. Removing handbrake callipers, dismantling, cleaning, lubricating and modifying to V600 specification. Installing new front and rear brake disc assemblies, larger front brake callipers, improved efficiency rear callipers, using replacement brake pads. Modifying front and rear suspension bump stops.
