At the time of its introduction in 1977, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage represented an impressive return to form for the British manufacturer, combining true supercar performance with the finest appointments of a luxury GT in the best of British tradition. Though subsequent models went through mechanical performance upgrades, it took nearly a decade before the V8 Vantage truly achieved 'supercar' status. The Series 3, first introduced at the 1986 British International Motor Show, was the ultimate iteration of the muscular V8 Vantage. Officially entitled V580X, quickly becoming known as the 'X-Pack, it was equipped with four dual-barrel Weber carburettors, high-compression Cosworth pistons, and larger valves and intake manifold, resulting in a remarkable 432bhp from its 5.3 litres. Described by one journalist as "a Hemi Road Runner built by Bentley", the new and improved V8 Vantage was a genuine 200 mph supercar.

This, UK-supplied, right-hand drive manual gearbox example is a rare and highly desirable genuine factory ‘X Pack’, one of only 95 produced. It's a Vantage, one of just two right-hand drive examples supplied in stunning Litchfield Black Metallic, which on this example is complemented by soft black hide, figured walnut and black carpets.

This X Pack is ‘last of line specification’ and it is in simply superb condition. Showing just 37,412 miles, this car is supplied with a good history file showing details of the cars fascinating life. Indeed, this special car was once owned by rock-legend, JK of Jamiroquai. Both JK and the current owner have entrusted this example to renowned marque specialists, Nicholas Mee, during their ownership and there are a variety of invoices and correspondence on file detailing the love and attention the car has received over the years. Indeed, in March of this year the X-Pack was sent to Nicholas Mee for further love and attention in preparation for the sale, ensuring it' totally fit for its next lucky owner.

Put simply, this is an extremely rare and exciting opportunity to own one of the very best examples of a much sought-after model amongst serious Aston collectors. We welcome and encourage interested parties to book an appointment to come and see the car, either at our storage facility before the sale, or during the Silverstone Classic weekend itself.
