Description

Aston Martin is a brand that transcends time, synonymous with the classy and the classless. Enjoyed by King Charles himself, as well as fictional and satirical icons like James Bond and Johnny English. The DBS as a model has existed in one form or another since the late 1960s, originally intended as a replacement for the DB6 despite being sold alongside it.

Production of first generation DBS models would end in the 70s, but the name was brought back to the front pages of Aston Martin brochures in the mid 2000s when the DB9 based model was launched. In 2018, Aston brough the moniker back again, but this time added the word Supperleggera, italian for “Super light”, a nod-back to the Superlight Astons of the 60s and 70s.

This DBS is a 2018 model, the first production year of the Supperleggera. Based on the DB11 V12, the DBS uses an aluminium-bonded panel construction meaning the DBS is able to achieve a relatively low curb weight of under 1700 kg despite its size.

The exterior is finished in AML Carbon Black, a Q-special order colour, the paintwork is in excellent condition having been cared for to an extremely high standard throughout its life. The DBS’s lines are complemented nicely by the dark shade, whilst areas like the lower front splitter and mirror caps are finished in Q-pack Carbon Fibre, an option that cost £2,495.

The wheels are optional gloss-black forged and diamond cut Y-Spoke items, the gloss back matches the paint well, but also help to draw your attention to the red brake callipers which hide the carbon ceramic brakes. The wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero rubber.

Step inside the car and you’re greeted by over £18,500 worth of optional extras. The heated and ventilated seats feature embroidered Aston Martin logos, and Triaxal stitching. Dry carbon fibre inlays adorn the dash and door cards, the headlining is perforated leather and the infotainment system is the optional Bang & Olufsen set up. All this results in an interior that is just as spectacular as the exterior.

Whilst you’re inside, you can fire up the 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12. An absolute powerhouse of a unit, it produces 715bhp, and an enormous 900 nm of torque. Mated to an 8-Speed ZF gearbox, the DBS is able to reach 62mph in just 3.4 seconds, and will power right the way to 211 mph.

This DBS benefits from being an earlier 2018 model, that means it is supplied without the petrol exhaust particulate filter that later models are supplied with. This means two things, firstly compared with a later model, the exhaust sounds better and secondly, any future owners need not worry about potential failures or complications in the future.

The DBS has also been subjected to regular scheduled maintenance by Aston Martin main dealers, the service history includes:

02/06/2021 - 1,009 miles - Aston Martin Mayfair
07/07/2022 - 2,187 miles - Aston Martin Mayfair
07/06/2023 - 10,509 miles - Aston Martin Mayfair
30/05/2024 - 12,154 miles - Aston Martin Mayfair

This generation of DBS is sure to be a future classic, enormous amounts of power and achingly good looks make it one of the greatest Super-GT cars of all time. Beloved by the motoring press at the time of its launch, now is the perfect time to add one to your stable, a twin-turbo V12 that was supplied new with over £34,000 worth of options, what more could you want?
As with all our vehicles, a full digital folder is available on request containing more images, walk-around videos, and scans of the service history. The car can also be viewed by appointment at our West London showroom.
