Description

Aston Martin introduced the long-awaited Vantage version of their successful DB7 in 1999. Sporting a Cosworth-designed, 5.9-litre V12 producing 420bhp, the car was super-quick and was electronically limited to 185mph. The V12 had a serious appetite for air compared to its 6-cylinder predecessor, demanding a larger intake and other modifications to the frontal airflow were made to aid cooling. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades to cope with the increased performance, and Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps, and restyled the valances to give the car a more purposeful look.

This fabulous DB7 Vantage is finished in the stylish hue of Tungsten over a Light Grey and Charcoal leather-trimmed cabin with Burr Walnut inlays on the door cards, dashboard, and centre console. It sits on 19-inch, nine-spoke alloy wheels with Aston Martin-badged centre caps and red brake callipers, which are shod in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres. Factory-fitted equipment includes air conditioning, electric windows, electrically operated and heated front seats, dual-zone temperature control, and a sports exhaust system. The car is believed to be original with no changes from the factory specification and is accompanied by the owner’s manual, service book, various receipts and invoices for work undertaken, an Aston Martin battery-conditioner, the factory spare wheel and tool kit, an Aston Martin umbrella and two keys plus fobs.

This DB7’s latest service was carried out in April 2022 at 45,608 miles by the technicians at authorised Aston Martin specialist Chiltern Aston Centre. The work included a 15,000-mile service, oil and filter change, along with the replacement of all four tyres, the front brake discs and pads, the nearside rear brake calliper, the engine mountings, rear brake flexible hoses, handbrake shoes, a change of brake fluid and an adjustment of the front camber and tracking.  The account for this was a little over £5,000. Prior to this, the car was serviced in August 2019 at 44,437 miles by Chiltern Aston Centre, which was a 7,500-mile service and included replacement of the exhaust clamps, alarm remote batteries and coolant system pressure cap, and during September 2018 at 43,742 miles by Chiltern Aston Centre which was a 45,000-mile service including replacement of the ignition coils, left-side cam-cover gasket, wheel nut, rear radius arm bushes, bonnet earth strap, brake fluid and a wheel balance.  There are full details of the Aston's service history from Jan 2003 at 10 miles through to the latest (19 stamps). The most recent MOT test took place on 6 April 2022 at 45,498 miles, resulting in a pass with advisories for some corrosion to the suspension arms, and wear on all four tyres, which have since been replaced.

The expression "No expense spared" can properly be applied in the case of this lovely DB7 and your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to truly appreciate this exceptional motor car.
