Description

Guide price: £32000 - £37000.

Supplied by Stratstone London in a very rare colour combination

Showing just 47,000 miles and a service record with 13 stamps

The history file includes the Aston Martin book pack, reams of invoices, and previous MOTs

Fitted with Chiltern Aston rear light clusters, a rare but attractive dealer modification

The burgundy leather interior and carbon fibre trim offer a dynamic look to the DB7

Aston Martin introduced the long-awaited Vantage version of their successful DB7 in 1999. Sporting a Cosworth designed, 5.9 litre V12 producing a creamy 420bhp, the car was super-quick and was electronically limited to 185mph. The V12 had a serious appetite for air compared to its 6-cylinder predecessor, demanding a larger intake and other modifications to the frontal airflow were made to aid cooling. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades to cope with the increased performance, and Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps, and restyled the valances to give the car a more purposeful look.

This dynamic looking Vantage coupé was delivered on the 1st September 2000 by Stratstone Aston Martin, London. Finished in the refreshingly modern combination of Grigio Titanio with Burgundy and Nero leather, the cabin is lifted by the rare addition of carbon fibre cappings in place of the more traditional wooden veneers, a very expensive option. This car shows the direction that Aston Martin were heading at the time, by a creating a modern sportscar for the younger more affluent market of the digital age. In short, it has more in common with its bigger brother the Vanquish than its predecessor the Virage.

The car is in exceptional condition and is wearing its 47,000 miles very well indeed. The leather is still fresh and the paintwork has a deep lustre. Adding to the appeal of this car is the Chiltern Aston Martin rear light conversion, a dealer fit option which gives the rear end a unique appearance by changing the original tail lights for round spotlights. Together with the optional factory sports exhaust, this Aston has an individual look and a great voice. Maintained to a high standard it has recently benefitted from official Aston Martin brake discs and pads all round, complementing the freshly refurbished alloy wheels.

The car has been serviced at the appropriate intervals:

29/08/2000 Stratstone Aston Martin, London at 53 miles

29/11/2000 Stratstone Aston Martin, London at 2,104 miles

15/06/2001 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 6,317 miles

11/06/2002 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 9,913 miles

19/01/2004 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 12,560 miles

21/07/2004 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 13,112 miles

02/02/2005 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 13,710 miles

02/12/2005 Runnymeade Aston Specialists at 14,511 miles

18/07/2006 Reg Vardy Aston Martin, Tyne and Wear at 19,114 miles

13/07/2007 Stratstone Aston Martin, Tyne and Wear at 23,107 miles

03/02/2009 Stratstone Aston Martin, Tyne and Wear at 30,677 miles

22/09/2010 Pure Servicing Specialist Cars, Wetherby at 38,180 miles

25/10/2016 Pure Speed Specialist Cars, Harrogate at 46,451 miles

Our vendor is reluctantly offering the next custodian the opportunity to enjoy this car due to a recent purchase of the new Aston Martin GT8.
