History
Made famous by the legendary James Bond as well as by their dynamic qualities, the Aston Martin DB series combined the elegance of a classy British
home with beautiful Italian lines and a nicely powerful and gutsy engine. Last heir to the line created by Italian design house Carrozzeria Touring, the DB6 had
the advantage of a more spacious interior than its predecessors, though the motive power still remained the bewitching and splendid six-cylinder dual overhead cam
engine developing 285bhp.
'Dubonnet' red in colour, with black leather interior, this right-hand-drive DB6 rolled out of the factory on the 1st of February 1966, and was delivered on the
21st of the same month to dealer Eton Motor Group, for them to hand over the car to its original owner, G. Mason-Styrron, from Surrey. The car featured
a Borg-Warner automatic (which is what the car comes with even now), a limited-slip differential, chrome spoke wheels, a rear window heater, a power
antenna, three-eared butterfly wheel nuts and a special horn. The car has since been equipped with power steering and a Sony three-speaker stereo
system, all installed in 2001 at The Aston Workshop in the UK. The car comes with a impressive invoice file, from 1970 to 2010, reflecting the thorough
servicing and maintenance procedure followed. Between 1979 and
1983, work was carried out by the Aston Martin Hyde Vale garage in London, and then at The Aston Workshop. In 1997/1998, it received a major
overhaul with many parts replaced, including parts for the braking system, floor mats and else.
Here's a car in a very good condition, whose owners have obviously taken great care of it, which is particularly important for
this model series.
