An exciting refresh of Aston Martin’s flagship Vantage model made huge waves for the marque in 2017. Moving away from the earlier platform, known in-house by its “VH” codename, the new car was built on a completely new “AM6” chassis. The update featured bold new body styling—including a distinctive oversized radiator intake and linear LED rear lights—as the incoming Vantage exhibited a noticeably contemporary look. At its heart was a Mercedes-Benz AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 510 PS and 685 Nm of torque.

Keen to develop the performance-focussed AMR sub-brand, Aston Martin allocated 200 of the new chassis to production of its range-topping Vantage AMR. The variant boasted a seven-speed manual gearbox, carbon-ceramic brakes, a carbon fibre bodypack and a kerb weight almost 100 kilograms lighter than the standard Vantage. Of these 200 AMR chassis, the first 59 were finished in stunning green-on-green “Vantage 59” trim. This was in recognition of the 60th anniversary of the company’s landmark 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans win.

First registered in January 2020 and delivered via Aston Martin Allgäu of Memmingen, Germany, this magnificent Vantage AMR is a single-owner example with just 1,645 kilometres on its odometer at the time of cataloguing. Serviced at Aston Martin München as recently as July 2022, it remains in immaculate condition and is supplemented by its service book and factory-supplied automatic battery charger.
