Alfa Romeo GTV Spider 916, year 1995 ASI – new engine.

Very first series of one of the most appreciated models in the world of youngtimers throughout Europe, its value will surely increase in a couple of years. 

The 2.0 Twin Spark engine, which guarantees excellent performance and pure fun, was fully redone in 2022 a the FIGLIOLIA MOTORS in Baronissi (SA), from the clutch to the replacement of piston rings, engine gaskets, cylinder and piston were rebored with related timing. More work carried out: overhauled electrical system, new battery, replacement of tyres (they have travelled less than 1000 km), adjustment of alloy rims, wheel balancing and alignment, timing, overhauled front arms and steering box.  The engine is still running-in, since it travelled just over 1,000 km after it was rebored), and under warranty at the aforementioned workshop.
 
In terms of bodywork, the car is sound and in good overall condition, with only a few parking dents on the side doors (the right side has a slightly more noticeable dent), and a slight paint peel on the rear door. These details are clearly shown in photos. Original Alfa Romeo interior of the time, with some slight signs of age. The soft top is also in fair condition, the rear plastic was recently replaced and there are no leaks.

The car has been owned by me since 2020, the last two title holders belong to the police; since 2006, it has been rarely used, which is why it has travelled only 118,000 km.

The car also participated in the filming of the Netflix series in production with the working title ‘The Lying Lives of Adults’, starring world-famous actress Valeria Golino.   

Mechanics in order, it could be perfect with replacement of the silent blocks, in order to remove those slight noises due to age, that might be noticeable to discerning ears. However, these are small details that are more than normal for a car of this age if you imagine an everyday use that does justice to this mighty 2.0 convertible.

The ASI registration with its 50% reduction in road tax, and the LPG system (with built-in adapter for ease of use) significantly reduce insurance and running costs.

As an optional extra, the vehicle is equipped with a battery switch as an anti-theft device.
