Description

It is easy to see why Car and Driver stated that the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione “just might be the ultimate two-seater GT.” It has the best of all worlds: a Ferrari-derived 4.7-liter engine, a Maserati chassis, and exotic carbon fiber bodywork designed by Wolfgang Egger. This fusion of superb engineering was meticulously assembled in Modena at the Maserati factory, and each car was individually test-driven by Alfa Romeo engineers. Production began in 2007 and was purposely limited to 500 units with 84 allocated for America – each one presold.

As noted on the window sticker, this 8C Competizione was specified in Red Metallic paint with tan leather upholstery, and its options included an Impianto Bose Premium GT sound system, fitted luggage, leather headliner, and the classic Marchio Sportivo badges on the front fenders. Retailed through Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, Connecticut, this Alfa Romeo was sold to its original owner in Delaware and then purchased by the consignor from Miller Motorcars in 2017. Today, the car remains in excellent condition, having been driven just over 900 miles at the time of cataloguing. In keeping with its overall presentation, this 8C comes with its special-ordered fitted luggage as well as its original window sticker, owner’s manuals, battery tender, and car cover.

With its limited-production status and ultra-low mileage, this 8C Competizione presents as the ultimate expression of modern Italian engineering melded with the nostalgia of Alfa Romeo’s prewar preeminence.
