Description

A very special example of an Alfa Romeo Super Sprint Zagato finished in its original colour combination of Rosso Corsa over Pelle Cuoio and importantly still retains its original engine. This Alfa was ordered new to the United States East Coast, where it has spent its entire life. Just 39 Zagato-bodied Super Sprints were built but only six of which had Zagato’s iconic ‘double bubble’ roof from new.

Ownership of this car include a gentleman racer of Alfa Romeos, who was the car’s first owner. It was later owned by a VIP of the Alfa Romeo Club, followed by an enthusiast who took the car on the Mille Miglia no less than three times. Most recently and for over a decade, this car has resided in a wonderful collection of other Zagato bodied cars and with a client who has continued to use the car in historic motoring events.

This prized Alfa Romeo has been restored in recent years to an extremely high standard and is offered in immaculate condition throughout, complete with its spare wheel, history file and Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin.
