Description

The FJ 1200 sport touring bike was produced by Yamaha from 1984 to 1996. The FJ blends a strong sporting base with a touring style, making it more suitable for road riding. A number of details increase its handling and comfort over long distances, including the seat shape, designed to reduce strain with a more erect driving position. The advantages of this model therefore lie not in performance but in the perfect balance between usability and a sporting attitude. The FJ 1200 has a four-stroke, four-cylinder air-cooled 1.188 cc engine with 77 x 63 mm bore x stroke. The compression ratio is 9.7:1 and it has chain final drive. The front suspension is telescopic with adjustable helical spring, while the rear suspension is gas “link” type with adjustable spring.
