Parilla was a name to conjure with in 1950s Italian motorcycle racing, with beautifully made sports racers as well as a more pedestrian line-up of scooters and commuters. The ultimate 123-cc DOHC four-stroke racer of 1960 had a redline of 10,000 rpm—an impressive figure even today.
The company existed from 1947-1967 and scored a number of racing successes in the 1950s and early 1960s, but as the Japanese competition intensified, it turned more towards go-kart engines and finally closed its doors in 1977.
This 1960 example has been restored in recent times and is offered in very good overall condition with excellent paintwork. It was a popular small sports motorcycle in Italy during the period and a favourite with young aspiring motorcycle racers of the time! Today these machines remain popular with collectors, and the
