Segment: Sidecar combination
Transmission: 4 gears, Manual gearbox
Registration number: NS-95-46

We do not supply audio clips with our ads, but you can just imagine how this one-cylinder 4-stroke must sound like. The lovely chub of the 349 cc power plant immediately invites you to step on and drive away. But before you do that we would first like to pass on a piece of history.
This 1952 NSU Konsul 1 with sidecar has been subject to a very high level restoration. All serial numbers were checked during the restoration and it emerged that the engine had been produced in 1939 for the German army. The WaA (Waffen Amt) 691 number and OZ74*435095 engine block mark are evidence of its provenance. That OZ74 indicates Oktanzahl 74, the very low quality fuel used in the war. The frame number coincides with the 1952 year of production. The large difference between the age of the engine and frame is easily explained as after the war NSU used all available parts available to build its motor bikes and that is how a one-cylinder 351 OS-T engine found its way to a modern frame.

The original number plate reads SN 20-4615 and according to the German historic number plate registered dates back to 1948 and specifically from the Russian occupied Sachen-Anhalt area. Under this we detected another number, this SP number was in use between 1933 and 1945 by the German Sicherheitspolizei.

This Konsul 1 was a barn find discovered in the German Eiffel area in 215. The motor bike headed towards Belgium where the restoration took a year. The NSU is accompanied with original booklets, advertising brochures and other paperwork.

In short; this is a motor bike with a distinctive provenance that has been nicely restored. Step up and away you go!
