Description
INDIAN « BOARD TRACK » RECONSTRUCTION
- Exceptional quality of production
- Machine of rare beauty
- Reference to the American speed pioneers
Can we imagine today that the board track races were born from the imagination of an Englishman, a grand-bi champion? The bikes ran on wooden ovals, sucked in by motorcycles… All you had to do was to remove the bikes to give the show a lot more intensity. The "board track" was born and these races on wooden ovals were a phenomenal success until the 1930s. Indian, the oldest American motorcycle brand, quickly carved out a huge track record in this discipline thanks, in particular, to Jake DeRosier, a Canadian champion. The Indian on offer, red as it should be, is a faithful evocation of an 8-valve engine board track machine produced around 1913-14. Made in the workshops of Alfred Nando, this machine of rare purity is equipped with a genuine vintage Indian engine. It has a sales certificate signed by Alfred Nando (2012) and is a centerpiece to decorate a place dedicated to speed or the American dream.
