Description

In 1968, Honda introduced a new small-displacement off-road motorcycle. The Z50A – or “High Bar,” as it was unofficially referred to – featured telescopic front shocks, small 8" wheels, adjustable height seat, semiautomatic transmission, and folding handlebars to help with storage and transportation. The little trail bike was an instant success. With its low-riding position and ease of use, the model went on to become the first motorcycling experience for a generation of enthusiasts. Building on the success of the first series, a street version was soon introduced and brought to the American market equipped with lighting and a license plate bracket, creating even more demand for this economical little dynamo.

While the early history of this Honda Z50A is not known, it has benefited from an older restoration and presents nicely in a striking yellow paint scheme, with a black seat and chrome accents completing the presentation. This lovable, sporty trail bike should be at the top of every enthusiast’s wish list.
