Description

The imposing six-cylinder air-cooled twin-camshaft engine which Honda designed for the CBX 1000 is part of the CB Four family, and indeed the small “Super Sport” badge was retained on the tank. The CBX 1000 featured a large tail light, a development from the four-cylinder DOHC models, highly visible rounded indicators, oil radiator in the lubrication circuit, and an imposing bank of Keihin VB 28 mm vacuum carburettors, the middle one fitted with a booster pump to further improve the performance of the massive engine. The fork was a 35 mm air and spring model, with a regulation valve on the stem cap.
