Description
Produced in a very few examples, the Rikshaws, based on the Benelli Leoncino 125, was created to ferry people, just like a taxi.
This model takes the name Leoncino from the aluminium silhouette of the front mudguard which characterises the bike and distinguished its uniqueness.
The Rikshaws are associated with the classic Leoncino, really because it has this particular characteristic.
The production was limited to a few numbers, with a two-stroke single cylinder engine tilted at the front.
The engine head was made of aluminium with a cast iron cylinder.
It had a four speed gearbox operated by a pedal.
The Rikshaws were immediately recognised for their reliability, low cost and functionality, just like the Leoncino, that is still remembered for having taken part in some raids in Africa and in North Cape and which helped the company to recover after the end of the Second World War.
This Benelli Leoncino Rikshaws is in excellent condition, perfectly restored and listed at the FMI.
On sale in our showroom in Reggio Emilia (ITALY).
