Clear inspiration
The two oversized watches draw direct inspiration from the original Big Pilot’s navigator watches of the 1940s. With a 55mm case, the Big Pilot’s Heritage Watch 55 is actually the largest timepiece that IWC has ever made, though with its titanium construction and 13.5mm slimness, it’s more wearable than you might think. While just 100 of the bigger piece will be made (priced at 14,800 US dollars), IWC will produce 1,000 of the smaller 48mm piece (13,400 dollars). As expected with aviation watches, both boast exceptional antimagnetic properties.
