Out of this world
California-based designer and manufacturer of loudspeakers Bossa has built a two-speaker stereo set to provide the ultimate surround-sound experience within the comforts of your own home. Sharing the name of the 11th spy film in the James Bond series, the Moonraker system consists of two white curved polymer shells — designed for optimal acoustic performance — with legs constructed out of sustainably sourced American woods from the yacht building industry — available in black walnut, reclaimed teak, and white ash. Along with special attention paid to the reduction of resonances and radiation patterns, usability and convenience were also considered during the design process, as the system can connect to both wired and wireless devices and is controlled by a simple yet intuitive remote. With a price tag of 2,399 US dollars, you won’t have to steal a space shuttle to pay it off…
