Sculpture runs in more than just the family at Bugatti

We love it when people in the automotive industry today, be it racing drivers, engineers or designers, show a sincere interest in the past. This fabulous skeleton sculpture of a Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic was created by Etienne Salomé, the legendary French company’s current Head of Interior Design…

Dynamism

Milled from a solid block of aluminium and polished entirely by hand, the sculpture is inspired by the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, one of the most exclusive automobiles ever created. The car’s exposed skeleton at the rear contrasts with the sleek bodywork at the front, giving the impression that the car’s body has been ripped off at high speed. Fittingly, just 57 of the sculptures will be built and, as with the car from which it takes its inspiration, they are engineered to last a generation.
