Now on Classic Driver Live: L’Art de L’Automobile founder Arthur Kar

Our next guest on Classic Driver Live is Arthur Kar of the avant-garde Parisian collector car dealership and streetwear label L’Art de L’Automobile…

The founder of the L’Art de L’Automobile collector car dealership and streetwear label, Arthur Kar is an avant-gardist who shreds the boundaries between the worlds of cars, fashion, music and design. He was raised in Beirut, where his father owned a garage. Fuelled by a desire to forge a career around cars, he moved to Paris to work as an apprentice at the famous French Porsche distributor Sonauto. Determined to get rid of the stigmas surrounding collectable cars, Kar’s multifaceted L’Art empire is today aimed at bringing cars into the lives of people who don’t understand that they’re not just for ‘car people’ or those who simply want to show off. “Cars are not all about money,” he recently told us, “the dream is not only for rich people.” Kar will no doubt touch on this evangelism when he joins our host JP Rathgen for the next instalment of Classic Driver Live. You can catch the chat, live from L’Art de L’Automobile’s Parisian bat cave, on our Instagram channel from 1900 CET / 1800 BST on 19 June. If you can’t make it, check out our IGTV channel afterwards or simply return to this page.
