This is the perfect installation for all you drowsy “I’m not a morning person” types, who find even standing up in the shower too exhausting at 7am. Thanks to German bathroom manufacturer Dornbracht, you no longer need to lean idly against the wall in the shower cubicle; now you can enjoy the sensation of warm water falling on your back as you lie stretched out in comfortable laziness.
This simple yet sophisticated structure features six miniature waterfalls that run the length of the shower. To add a little massage to your shower, you just need to press a few buttons on the eTool controller and the jets will kick in. The various therapeutic sequences have, we’re told, equilibrium, energy and de-stressing properties for the ultimate relaxation. And for those morning showers before work, when you feel a bit chilly, there’s no need to worry about stepping into a cold shower; the temperature of the shower base can also be adjusted via the remote control.
But is the world ready for horizontal showering? You can probably live without this peculiar invention, but if you really want to stand out (in all but a literal way) from your neighbours – going horizontal in the bathroom allows you to do just that.
