Tom Kristensen, aka Mr Le Mans, has won at the Circuit de la Sarthe a record nine times, six of which were scored consecutively from 2000–2005. But even exclusive of his exemplary performances in the French endurance classic, the great Dane’s résumé is nothing short of extraordinary, encompassing six 12 Hours of Sebring wins, an FIA GT Championship and victory in the inaugural Kinrara Trophy at the Goodwood Revival. Anyone who was fortunate enough to have witnessed Kristensen’s storming drive in the latter, piloting Joe Macari’s stunning Ferrari 250 GT ‘SWB’, will attest to his versatility, deftness and judgement behind the wheel.
