Remarkably, it’s been three years since we broke bread with Simon Kidston, a man who over the course of his career in the industry truly has become the face of the classic car world. Having established and steered Brooks’ (now Bonhams) European division for almost a decade, Kidston founded his own boutique collector car consultancy in Geneva in 2006, catering to the highest-profile collectors from across the world. A regular at all the most prestigious concours events, he’s also been the resident master of ceremonies at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este for 20 years. Oh, and his personal collection includes a Lamborghini Miura SV and a McLaren F1 (chassis number 007, naturally). We’re thrilled to report that Simon will be joining our host J. Philip Rathgen on the second instalment of Classic Driver Live on Instagram, tonight (7 April) at 1900CET/1800 BST. Don’t miss out – follow @classicdriver now.
