A man entrenched in the world of motorsport since the 1970s, David Clark today runs his renowned collector car dealership Taylor & Crawley, is a partner in the successful Jota Sport sports car team and can often be seen deftly sliding a historic racing car – usually one of Wolfgang Friedrich’s beautiful Aston Martins – at the world’s most prestigious historic motorsport meetings. From 1994–1998, Clark served as Director of McLaren’s F1 road and race programmes, an exciting and immensely successful period during which he made countless enduring memories around the world, many of which he’ll hopefully recall during his chat with our host J. Philip Rathgen tonight on Classic Driver Live. Other topics on the agenda will be the McLaren F1’s meteoric rise in desirability, living for many years with arguably the most famous McLaren F1 GTR of them all, contemporary motorsport versus historic motorsport and partnering with the great Jackie Chan to race at Le Mans. Don’t miss it – we’ll be live on our Instagram channel from 7pm CET/6pm BST.
