The catalogue of more than 50 collector cars curated by Aste Bolaffi and poised to go under the hammer on 24 May in Milan ranges from the early 1950s right through to the present day. But as different as the cars may be, many share numerous outstanding aesthetic qualities in common. In addition to veritable icons such as the Citroën DS and the Dino ‘Ferrari’ 246, the latter of which we had no idea looked so sleek in white, it’s the eccentric designer cars including the Panhard CT 24, Fiat 2300, and Lancia Appia which we keep opening and reopening in the catalogue. The two BMW 2002s – one in the legendary Turbo specification and the other an Alpina version finished in metallic red – are also rather delicious. And what could serve as better beach shuttles this coming summer than the minty-fresh VW Samba bus and the matching Fiat 600 Spiaggina? You can find our 10 favourites from the sale below or, alternatively, you can browse the entire catalogue in the Classic Driver Market.
