Given the luxurious yet not-so-daring range of models coming from Crewe today, it's easy to forget that Bentley was once a brand for well-to-do daredevils and adventurers who wanted to experience something new and wouldn’t shed any tears when their welted leather shoes got a bit dusty in the process. And this is why we’re all the more thrilled to see this unique Bentley Continental GT "Off Road", which was built this year at Classic Yountimer Consultancy in the Netherlands and is now flisted for sale in the Classic Driver Market.
The Continental Coupé from 2004, which has around 85,000 kilometres on the clock, was jacked up in the style of an Audi Allroad and equipped with sturdy fenders and a light body, with a luggage rack and spare wheel on the roof. In the interior, things are as normal as they are dignified, with walnut wood and cognac-coloured leather. With that said, we’ve just put in our application for a sabbatical, effective immediately, and are ready take this Bentley on our own personal Paris-Dakar Rally adventure.
