Beschreibung
"The Mini had an impressive 41-year build run from 1959 until 2000. This car really deserves the title of motoring icon. Space saving front wheel drive design of the Mini influenced a generation of car makers. This was borne out in 1999 when the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century. The Mini Mk. I had three major UK updates; the Mk. II, the Clubman and the Mk. III. The Mini Cooper and Cooper ‘S’ were sportier versions that were successful as rally cars, winning the Monte Carlo Rally four times from 1964 through to 1967. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names, as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini Minor, until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969.
This immaculate 1992 example has benefitted from a complete photographic restoration. During the process it was decided to give the car the look of a Cooper S from an earlier era. The no expense spared work was completed over a four-year period has been done well and the paintwork is in good order with a red body and contrasting black roof. Fitted with three front driving lamps and one rear, leather bonnet straps and privacy glass, this Mini certainly looks the part and, we are informed, drives superbly. Not surprising as this Mini is also fitted with Paul Ivey racing steel valves, a Bret Sims fast road cam, a balanced crankshaft and duplex double timing chain, double silicone HT leads, an LCB three branch straight through exhaust, a quick shift gearbox and GMAX shock absorbers and suspension kit. The file for this car contains a V5C registration document, a full list of the works completed and various bills and receipts. The sale of this Mini includes the cherished registration plate. Fun to drive and reasonably priced."
