This fantastically beautiful Volkswagen Beetle ‘ oval window’ aka ‘Ovali’ rolled off the production line on the 23rd August 1956 and then supplied to Sweden. This ‘oval’ Beetle naturally has the lovely oval rear window, the more horizontally placed headlights and semaphore type indicators. The ‘Ovali’ had a relatively short run between ’53 and’57. From ’55 on the iconic double exhaust pipes were fitted and the engine size increased from 1131 cc to 1192cc producing an additional 5 Hp. In the past this Volkswagen underwent a total mechanical overhaul and restoration. The execution of this has left this Beetle in a perfect condition! The fine bodywork is straight and has lovely paintwork. All panels fit together perfectly. The chrome parts decorative elements and bumpers are similarly as good as new. The underbody also does not disappoint, being rust-free and again as good as new. The car has its original ‘L 331 Horizontblau’ finish with a ‘Stoff Blau’ interior trim together a Stiftung VW certificate. The engine is the correct 58’ 30 Hp Type 1. An ‘Ovali’ in concourse condition, no less!
