- 2L overhead camshaft engine

- Weymann type body
Maurice and Georges Sizaire first joined forces with Louis Naudin, founding the Sizaire et Naudin brand, whose quality products were immediately acknowledged and recognized. In 1913, they separated and then joined forces with F. Berwick before creating, in 1920, the company Sizaire Frères. The 4IR model, launched at the 1923 Paris Motor Show, was one of their first models, which brought together exceptional technical solutions: 4 independent wheels, rack-and-pinion steering, and a 4-cylinder 2-liter engine with overhead camshaft. Thanks to these qualities, a 4RI would finish second in the Monte Carlo Rally in 1926, and third the following year.
The car on offer features a Weymann-type bodywork produced by the firm Gras in Dijon, which added lightness to the qualities of the chassis. Bought in the Ariège in 1993 by the Vendiesse garage, the car was then auctioned in 1994 by the Poulain-Le Fur and bought by Paul Thanry. At that time, the car had already benefited, about ten years ago, from a comprehensive high-quality restoration. This superb automobile also has several accessories such as the Azur sun visor, a searchlight on the left windshield pillar, as well as a radiator mascot. We were also in awe of the originality of the dashboard. As the car has not been driven for more than 10 years, due to a cylinder head gasket problem, this high-quality car will need a mechanical overhaul before being taken back on the road. This Sizaire Frères, straight out of the drawers of the unknown, will delight connoisseurs.
